The African Union was inspired by the European Union on ancient Earth which was extremely powerful trade network to help establish a trade network all across the world. The African Union's main members were Nigeria, Egypt South Africa, and West Africa they united in 2299. This organization was one of the most powerful trade networks on the planet Mars. The African Union by the time terraform was over controlled a large percentage of the great southern continent which was formed when oceans were established. The most powerful section of this region of Mars was a Nigerian colony known as the Nairobi Archipelago.
