This was a Spanish-language channel that was introduced to Canada in 1985 in order to provide programming for the thousands of refugees who came from Argentina beginning in the 1980s. This network was partially funded by the CBC, the Canadian government's diversity more, and the UN. This provided educational content for Spanish-speaking children were from Argentina. Also provided cooking channels that have examples of traditional Argentinian food. This network also began  began the 1990s trend of South American food that extend well into the 21st century. This network was extremely popular and contributed to the Canadian government's decision to make Spanish third official language in 1992. The United States making Spanish the second official language in 2004 despite Republican senators disagreeing with us. This network start a revolution and more accepting and inclusive content in Canada.
